6-8 PM, World Arts, 65 W. Commercial St, Portland Maine
$7-$10 sliding scale

Tribal Style Bellydance is all about dancers working together, so let's see your groups! Choreography welcome, improv encouraged. Preference given to any sort of group improv - Drum solo pass, mirroring, clumping? A very limited number of solo slots will be available for fusion performances. Solo performances must reference classic improv tribal in some way. Please email your concept & music selection (max 5 minutes) to info@jaiyana.com no later than 10/3 - the sooner the better, slots are limited!

Sunday, Oct. 18th: ATS Workshops with Joy Herbst
All Tribal Bellydance - including tribal fusion - is rooted in American Tribal Style. Learn posture, movement vocabulary, and dancer communication from the original Tribal. All styles & levels welcome.

10am-1pm: Intro to ATS - basic movements, cues, and stylization. $50 before Oct. 1, $60 after.
2pm-4pm: Formations & Transitions - advanced combos & formations, including stage & performance considerations. $35 before 10/1, $45 after. Prerequisite: the morning workshop.
