Re: workshops with Rose Harden
Sun, June 7, 2009 - 6:01 AMHey Rose! Vadalna is the resident Boston-based hosting troupe these days. Naraya is the troupe artistic director and contact you will probably be speaking with (but it could be Kali Das, too). They just hosted me for a wonderful workshop a couple weekends ago, and are hosting Zoe & Beats Antique coming up here pretty soon. A couple of my former students are in Vadalna & also the troupe OmBellyCo in boston....tell them hello for me!
and PS to the Boston ladies: Rose has formulated a kick-ass method of body strengthening/awareness that ties in directly to our dance form. You will be impressed and sore after her class! -

yes- but don't worry, it's not a billion sit ups- you can do that on your own time, i want to share the exciting stuff!
my dance core material is fully integrated with the dancing. ive developed a way to link particular muscle engagement, alignment, and stability to help you get the most out of your dancing and to keep you dancing for years to come while minimizing wear on joints(i've got a unique take on big juicy "tribal fusion" shimmies that will change your life), back, and neck...
